Title: AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 65-1-8, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO AUTHORIZE THE MISSISSIPPI TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENTS WITH COUNTIES, MUNICIPALITIES, COUNTY TRANSPORTATION COMMISSIONS, BUSINESSES, CORPORATIONS OR OTHER LEGAL ENTITIES FOR THE PURPOSE OF ACCELERATING THE COMPLETION DATE OF SCHEDULED HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS; TO PROVIDE THAT SUCH AGREEMENTS MAY PERMIT THE COST OF HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS TO BE ADVANCED TO THE COMMISSION BY THE BUSINESS, CORPORATION, PARTNERSHIP, ASSOCIATION, INDIVIDUAL OR OTHER LEGAL ENTITY AND REPAID TO SUCH ENTITY BY THE COMMISSION WHEN HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION FUNDS BECOME AVAILABLE; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
